The Purpose off this security policy is to outline the measures and guidelines implemented by Diatomaceous Earth Online to protect the confidentiatlity, integrity, and availability of customer information, payment transactions, and the overall security of the online shopping platform.

 

Users are required to create individual accounts with unique login credentials, including usernames and password.  Strong password requirements are enforced.  Email addresses are very importmant, in case of a forgotten password,  this email address will be used to send you a link to reset your password.

 

Diatomaceous Earth Online uses a secure protocol HTTPS to encrypt data transmission between the customer's browser and the web server.  This ensures that any sensitive information exchanged, such as payment details, remains secure. We take all reasonable steps to keep secure any information which we hold about you. Personal information may be stored both electronically on our computer system, and in hard-copy form. Firewalls, 2048 Bit v3 SSL encryption, passwords, anti-virus software and email filters act to protect all our electronic information.

 

We do not store credit card information, we use STRIPE as a secure platform for credit card payments.
